About this course

description
lessonOverview
This is a letter used to notify a customer (or former customer) that you identified a credit balance on your A/R. The goal of the letter is to verify if the credit is, in fact, a credit.

This letter is part of a series of documents and templates that you can use to create your own Unclaimed Property - or Escheattment policy.

If the post office returns the letter and the addressee is untraceable, then the account is considered to be abandoned property and is subject to state escheat laws.

If there is no response to this, a second request is recommended. (See other download) for an example of this.
